Instant Yeast, General Purposes Flour. I use only half packet of yeast and 0.5 kg of flour |
Prepare for dough |
Preparation of yeast: 1 spoon of warm water. |
Preparation of Yeast: Add 1/4 teaspoon of sugar, stir in water till resolved. |
Preparation of Yeast: Add in half packet of instant yeast powder. About 5.5g. |
Preparation of Yeast: Must Stir till fully resolved in the sugar water. |
Preparation of Yeast: Once the yeast rise about one full cup, means ready to use. |
Preparation of dough: Add 3/4 spoon of cooking oil. |
Preparation of dough: One spoon of unsalted butter. |
Preparation of dough: Add 6 spoon of sugar. |
Preparation of dough: Add in the sweet potato paste. |
Preparation of dough: Add in the rise yeast. |
Preparation of dough: add in some water in the cup that used to raise up, then pour into the flour. |
Preparation of yeast: Start mix it up. |
Normally I will cut it into 2 before shaped it. |
Cut in 8 or 6, personal preference. |
Once shaped it, wait for 45min before steam. Note: Do it afternoon, 35 min will do. |
Once the water boiled, put in the mantou into steamer. Wait for 15 min |

Making Steps in words:
Ingrediant 1: Sweet Potato paste
1.Steam 250g sweet potato
2.Once done, smash it into paste.
Ingrediant 2: Instant yeast
1. Put 1 spoon of warm water in to a cup
2. Put 1/4 spoon of sugar, still till resolved.
3. Put half packet of instant yeast (5.5g) into the sugar water till resolved.
4. Once 1-3 steps is done, put the yeast aside, do no move it untill it rise about one full cup.
Ingrediant A :
1. 0.5 kg General purpose flour
2. 1 spoon of unsalted butter
3. 3/4 spoon of cooking oil
4. Water, about 100cc, if you feel the dough is too dry, you make add in the water abit while making the dough is about to done.
Steps
1. Mix all the ingrediant to make dough.
2. Cut the dough into half, divide each of half into 8 pcs or 6 pcs, based on personal preference.
3. Shaped it (Refer to the picture), cannot spent too much in the shaping procedure,about 15 min.
4. Once finish shaping, wait for 45min before steam.
5. Remember, the water must be boiled before put in the mantou.
6. Steam for 15 min.
7, You may enjoy the mantou (sweet bun) once done.!!
